Physical Therapy
Who is this for?
Someone currently experiencing pain or injury
What to expect at your first visit?
The first appointment is meant to help us get to know each other better. It’s low risk, low cost, and there are no big commitments on day one. We use this time to listen to your story, your pain, your concerns, and your goals.
Next, we will assess how you are moving and look for any imbalances that could be the cause of your pain.
Lastly, we explain everything and give you answers to all your questions. “What is wrong? Can PT help me? How long will it take?” Together we will create a solid plan for getting you better and go over our roadmap to reach your goals. Please ask us questions because we want you to feel confident in your decision to work with us.
Road Map
Physical Therapy
1.
Mobility
As the tissue or joint is able to move better, pain and discomfort are decreased
2.
Stability
Muscles activation around the joint and control throughout the new range of motion
3.
Strength
Add resistance to progressively load the joint (very much like personal training)
Timeline?
Shorter duration focused on decreasing pain and addressing the cause of the injury so that it does not reoccur. A specific number of sessions will be recommended at the end of the evaluation.
What tools do we use?
At Rise we believe in empowering you to take control of your pain by teaching you stretches and exercises. We will create a short and sweet home program specific to you and your most pressing needs.
However, there is a time and place for manual techniques and modalities to help increase mobility and decrease pain. If there is something you are interested in trying let us know, but please allow your therapist to determine which tools may be right for you.
